Naturopathic Physicians are primary care physicians that are clinically trained in natural, non-toxic therapies, as well as traditional medicine. Our Naturopathic Physicians work with each patient to address his or her specific needs, with emphasis on choosing modalities that are effective and gentle and encourage and support the patient’s inherent ability to heal. In addition to routine wellness support and exams, we offer services such as treating acute illness, chronic diseases, food sensitivities and allergies, weight loss and more.
As we get older our hormone levels decline leading to a variety of conditions including diminished sex drive, fatigue, depression, weight gain and osteoporosis. Bio-Identical hormones are natural, plant-derived compounds that have the same molecular structure as those made by the human body. Unlike synthetics, our bodies can readily recognize and metabolize them. A bio-identical hormone regimen can be designed to fit each patient’s needs. Modalities may include: creams, patches, oral lozenges and pellets. Bio-identical hormones may not be appropriate for certain individuals. Learn more »
Psychotherapy & Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a heightened state of awareness that enables people to alter the way they perceive and process reality, thus modifying their behavioral patterns. Hypnosis can be used for pain management, anxiety disorders, attaining ideal weight, as well as the treatment of alcoholism, nicotine, and drug addictions. Dr. Ilana Oren provides hypnosis and psychotherapy to IPC patients and others looking for additional help with these varied issues. She has worked in the field of mental health since 1977, providing counseling services to individuals, couples and groups and is internationally recognized for her expertise in hypnosis. Some insurance plans are accepted. Cost is $150.00 per 55 minute session (sliding scale available). Dr. Oren is available for appointments Tuesday-Thursday of each week.
Acupuncture has been used successfully for thousands of years all over the world. It involves the insertion of extremely thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body to treat pain through the stimulation of the body’s natural painkillers. Traditional Chinese medicine shares that it balances the flows of energy, often known as qi or chi. It is now practiced in many major medical centers and is recognized by the CDC and the World Health Organization. Our acupuncture practitioners help patients with joint and back pain, sports injuries, gastrointestinal and gynecological problems, migraine headaches, and many other conditions.
Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) is an alternative therapy that helps to release blockages in your energy pathways, as well as restore balance and well-being. These therapies work hand in hand with conventional medicine to decrease stress, provide pain management and restore health. A highly-refined, hands-on procedure similar to acupressure, JSJ helps reawaken the body’s own natural ability to restore health. These points, when held in certain sequences called “flows,” can bring deep relaxation and relief from pain and stress. The practitioner can also teach patients self-help routines that can be done at home. Debbie Elman has been a JSJ practitioner for more than 30 years, beginning her studies in this dynamic healing art in 1980 with world renowned JSJ founder and teacher Mary Burmeister. Debbie is available for appointments on Tuesdays each week.
